Evan is broadly interested in social movements and political sociology. Specifically, he is interested in how people come to join conservative and right-wing movements. His current research focuses on the mobilization and recruitment processes that facilitate participation in local politics using qualitative methods. Before joining the department, Evan worked at Mathematica Policy Research.
