Gloria Jasmine Akoba

Jasmine's research interests are broadly centered on Gender-based Violence, Gender and Migration, Feminist Movements, and Women’s Substantive Representation. Her current work is focused on domestic violence among African immigrant communities and the transnational movements that advocate for battered immigrants in the US. She is also interested in Feminist movements and International Non-Governmental Organizations as pathways to women’s substantive representation. Jasmine is a volunteer for Gender Equality in Public Administration (GEPA), where she helps track the progress of women within public administrations globally.
