Barone Memorial Lecture: Prof. Kelsy Burke, "Christians Under Covers: Evangelicals and Sexual Pleasure on the Internet"

Professor Burke is an Assistant Professor at the University of Nebraska,Lincoln, also affiliated with the women's and Gender Studies Program. She is an alumnus of the Department of Sociology, University of Pittsburgh, having received her Ph.D.in 2013 and a Ph.D. Certificate in Gender, Sexuality and Women's Studies Program.  Her recent book publication,Christians under Covers: Evangelicals and Sexual Pleasure on the Internet (Berkeley, CA,University of California Press, 2016 ) is the winner of the 2017 Distinguished Book Award for the American Sociological Association Section on Religion.  A chapter of the book is forthcoming in Exploring the Architecture of Everyday Life and has been reviewed in the American Journal of Sociology, Contemporary Sociology, Sociology of Religion and Theology and Sexuality
